Dear Esteemed Friends and Colleagues,
It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to the PCOS
Summit on Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome
(PMOS), a dedicated academic endeavour to explore the
evolving understanding of PCOS and its far-reaching
implications for women's health.
As practising gynaecologists, we encounter PCOS every
day, often addressing its reproductive manifestations
and challenges related to infertility. However, its
impact extends far beyond reproduction. The intricate
interplay of endocrine dysfunction, insulin resistance,
obesity, and metabolic disturbances makes it a
significant concern for women's health across the
entire life course.
The PMOS concept encourages us to broaden our perspective
and recognise the interconnected endocrine, metabolic,
reproductive, and long-term health implications of this
complex syndrome. From its early origins and
manifestations in childhood and adolescence to
reproductive challenges, cardiometabolic risks, and
health concerns beyond menopause, PMOS calls for a
comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and preventive approach.
This summit aims to bring together distinguished experts
and practising gynaecologists to explore the complete
spectrum of PMOS, strengthen our clinical understanding,
and translate evolving scientific evidence into
effective, patient-centred care.
We warmly invite you to join us in this academic journey
as we exchange knowledge, share clinical experiences,
and advance our commitment to early recognition,
comprehensive management, and prevention of long-term
complications of PMOS.
Let us work together to embrace a life-course approach
to women's health, ensuring that every stage of a
woman's life becomes an opportunity to add health,
not merely manage disease.
We look forward to your enthusiastic participation in
making this academic initiative a meaningful and
enriching experience.
With warm regards,
Dr. Ragini Agarwal & Dr. Ritu Jain
